AUSTIN, TX - Today, Supreme Billboards, a Super PAC launched by a group of citizens in Austin, Texas in response to the death of Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg and President Trump's subsequent nomination of Amy Coney Barrett, is embarking on a nationwide advertising campaign to oppose the re-election of Republican senators who have flip-flopped on the question of SCOTUS appointments during an election year.

The group is publishing billboards in the home states of 29 Republican senators that show direct quotes made in 2016 by senators who clearly articulated their conviction that Supreme Court appointments should not be made during an election year. In 2016, with 9 months remaining in President Barack Obama's final term, the Republican-controlled Senate refused to hold hearings on the president's SCOTUS nominee as a matter of principle. Now, with less than 5 weeks to go before the November general election, many of those senators' principles seem to have flown the coop. Supreme Billboards is encouraging citizens to take action by visiting their website at www.supremebillboards.com, and by voting as early and as safely as possible in the general election.
